Its time for me to sell my old 1ds2 and for the life of me I can not figure out the total shutter count. I have googled and searched and tried all sorts of methods and none seem to give a real answer.
Does anyone know a way to do this without actually having to purchase any new software?

It can only be accurately done by Canon using their own service software.
The EXIF file count isn't an accurate record of shutter accutations at all as it can change, up or down, when different user settings are loaded.
