Title: Vertical Banding on Z6100
Post by: aaronchan on November 17, 2010, 11:54:33 pm
I'm printing a 1.5m x 1.2m image and I realized there are vertical banding under Windows 7 + PS CS5. Now I'm printing the image by submitting the image directly to HP Color Utility Center, and the vertical banding is gone. I believe this is costed by the printer driver since I am bypassing their driver to print. Does anyone have any exp. on this problem before?

Thanks
Aaron

No experience with the Z6100 but if it is that critical it could well be a slight misalignment of the heads. Do a heads realignment but first clean the rod the head carriage runs on and oil it with the prescribed oil.  That head has to run fast. I have done the same on a Z3100 and Z3200 when I noticed a small vertical misalignment.
