Title: Z6100 non-ps version with OSX 10.6
Post by: aaronchan on November 03, 2010, 03:56:51 am
I've connected my Z6100 to my Mac with OSX 10.6
But I don't see the Z6100 non-ps version driver under the "print using" section
Also couldn't find it on neither the apple website or the HP website.

Does anyone know how to make my printer works?

Thanks

I've read this articles many times and under the list, it only mentioned Z6100ps series, but not Non-PS series. This is where I got stuck

it says here in the article:

If you have a non PostScript Designjet printer, the Apple Software Update application will launch allowing you to install the new driver for your printer.

I've connected my printer to my computer already and have check the software update, which has nothing came up.
I've also talked to the tech support guy from Apple and went through the trouble shooting procedure for about an hour and still got no luck.
Also I've wrote an feedback email to both HP and Apple and got zero reply so far......

Hope someone else could help me here.

Thanks

Another expensive option I can recommend is using a RIP software. For Mac there is a very good one called Shiraz RIP or PhotoPrint. I've used both and prefer the shiraz... Not sure why you are having so many problems with the standard drivers. Maybe you need to throw out your old drivers and try to reinstall?
