Title: Unusual Perspectives
Post by: wolfnowl on October 04, 2010, 01:51:59 pm
Hi Folks:

1) A 10-minute video showing the view from 70,000 feet inside a U2 spy plane:

2) Some pretty good B&W images of Mars:

Thank you Mike... I didn't know that the U-2 spy plane had been modified to carry two persons.

That U-2 footage is incredible, thanks. It's from a British car show called Top Gear, which has some of the best cinematography and editing in TV (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvZFJvZv-b4), but this didn't need any of that.

Thanks Mike.

On these kind of sagas, this is a very good documentary with the full 9 episodes on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4SjUbQDP7g

Gene Kranz, probably the most capable flight director at mission control. Impressive images.
