Well, there will always be the 'crop' vs. 'no crop' crowd, but to me this image removes too much. Makes me wonder what's beyond the frame.

David, I'm with Mike on this one. It looks as if what you attempted was an abstraction. It needs to be either more abstract to make it that, or less if that's not what you wanted to say.

I think I know what you are after with the metal shapes, and why you cut off the top, but unless it was impossible to avoid because of height, those trees and mess on the horizon ruin the feeling. But, had you gone lower, you would have to have lost some of the top of the near tanks, and that wouldn't have done you any good either.
I suspect that if you keep the cropped shot, alter the weight of tones through it quite dramatically, you will come up with a third, and better, shot.
