Title: Iceland #11 - The Sentinel
Post by: Josh-H on September 17, 2010, 08:49:57 pm
This was my last frame from Landmannalaugar in Iceland just after sunset and on the return hike to the 4WD. This frame shows the main lava field running through the valley.
Thoughts and comments welcome as always.

Is the penis-like (sorry, could not help noticing ;)) rock on the left black by itself or perhaps because GND filter was used? In any case, I would suggest darkening the left slope so that it is closer to the black rock in tonality. That would focus the attention on the rest of the image where there is much more going on.

yeah its Iceland's phallic symbol....
The 'rock' (lets just call it that) is actually black.

That is nice... it has a foreground, a middle-distance, a background and depth, giving a sense of space.

It seems a little under-saturated to me.
