New Nikon P7000 !
More details on photograhy Bay.
Seems to be more interresting for me, especially 7.1x zoom, 900k Pixels LCD, best shot selector, and a lot of dedicated buttons.
Have a Nice Day.

There's a lot of talk at POTN (photography on the net--Canon forum). It's favourable, with comparisons to the G11 and LX3 replacement, whatever that is.
There's an introduction at dpreview. It includes some photos. Snap shots.
I like the lens range better than the G11. It's more useful than my old G9 was (28 to 200 IIRC.) Apparently has a better screen than the '11. Has a viewfinder. Believe it has lost the gpsreceiver of its predecessor.
I bought the '11 for the articulating screen. Although I knew the focal length of the lens, it has proven to be more a disadvantage for me than I thought it would. Ergonomics are an issue for me with the G11. There are buttons on the back where my thumb shouldn't be...but is.
The S95 is out there and orders are being taken; where's the G12?
Competition is good.

It's also got a slightly larger sensor than some other comparable cameras on the market.
This could be Nikon's Canon 'G' killer.
28-200 equiv lens w/ VR
10MP so not trying to load on the pixel count and destroy image quality
720p HD video recording @ 24fps
Built in ND filter (only 1 setting, 3 stop)
RAW capability
MSRP $500
Pretty sweet looking little unit.

Sony sensor?
