Title: More z3100 win7 questions/woes
Post by: abaazov on August 05, 2010, 01:37:00 pm
We finally have the z3100 win7 drivers. However i tried installing the HP utility (including color center) and for some reason the software "installs" but double clicking on the icon does nothing (neither does running it from its location). Does anyone else have this problem? I am running win7 ultimate.
Also, are ICC profiles version specific? Do i need ICC profiles made for win7 or can i simply copy my profiles from the old XP computer to the new win7 computer?
TIA
amnon

I am somewhat afraid to install the the new software, as I am running just fine right now with Win 7 64 and using the vista 64 driver. The last time I updated the firmware, it was still under warranty, it ruined the Formatter card.

I'm running Win7 Pro 64bit and got the HP Utility from HP and the drivers from Windows Update.  Once installed I retrieved the profiles from the printer, which had been created with my XP setup on another PC.  Seems to work OK from what little testing I've been able to do so far.  YMMV...
