Title: Need some help with English orthography
Post by: fredjeang on July 07, 2010, 07:19:39 am
Hi,

I've been searching and indeed it is not that clear.

I have some pics names that I'd like to translate into english and I can't figure if
for the words: street, avenue, square, boulevard I'll need to put them with the first letter in capital or not.

What's the most correct way according to you?

Ex: Princesa Avenue or Princesa avenue

Thanks.

In addresses, they're capitalized, thus “Princesa Avenue,” although they're often abbreviated, like “Princesa Ave.” (still capitalized).

I'd avoid abbreviations in photo titles, though.
