Hello,
we found an interesting problem with ACR (LR/PS). If we geotag our Nikon NEF-RAW files on OSX with myTrax (from Dirk Stickling) or CDFinder (from Norbert M. Doerner) everything works fine after that operation. After that you can work with geodata in LR an follow the link to Google Maps e.g..
If we geotag our Sony a850 ARW files we get a purple colorshift in LR and PS-ACR. I've checked this phenomenon in other Raw Converter tools e.g. RawDeveloper, c1 and nowhere else I got this purple shift. So I think this must be a problem of ACR.
Adobe Germany told me that they are not responsible for that because we've changed metadata with third party tools.
Anyone here with the same experience?
Best regards

Oriwo,
I'm not familiar with your tagging software (I use ImageIngester Pro and Houdah Geo) but have a question, does it write the GPS data to a sidecar or directly into the raw file? If it's in a sidecar, try moving them into a separate folder and see if the files will then render correctly in camera raw. If the data is written into the raw file (generally a bad idea), it could be stepping on some of the other metadata that CR uses in processing. Also wondering if it may be the white balance data that is being effected? Have you tried manually tweaking the WB to eliminate the color cast?

Can you post an example of a ARW file before geotagging, and after geotagging? It would help me drill down and find the problem.

Hello Greg,
data is written to the raw-file. With Nikon's NEF or DNG-files no problems with this.
Yes I've tried to eliminate the colorcast with WB but without success.

Sorry, no other ideas... But I would recommend taking Eric's suggestion of sending him a file, he's one of the Camera Raw engineers.

Hello Eric,
could you test the files?
