Title: Epson profiles
Post by: Andres Bonilla on May 23, 2010, 03:59:21 pm
I downloaded the Epson profiles from the website, I unzipped them and I ended up with several files, data1, datahdr kernell, setup.ini etc. One of them is a setup.exe Instashield launcher; I cliked on that one and it gave this warning " do you want to completely remove thsi aplication and all its components" I know I am doing this wrong since the profile does not appear as an option in Photoshop color settings or the printers profile settings. I have googled it and I ended up with the same PDF showing how to select the profile in Photoshop.  Any sugestions?

I don’t know if you downloaded the wrong link, got some corrupted download or there’s an issue unzipping but that’s certainly NOT the profiles.

Ouch!! Now I am lost, I downloaded them from the Profiles site in the Epson website, they came as Epson 12742.exe for the canvas.

Ok, now I am more confused, I click on the other profiles and I think thry installed, the warning is given only by the canvas profile, is lie it weants to uninstall instead of installing.

I noticed that the canvas profile is different on the canvas profile, it prompetd me to confirm the uninstall.

If you tell us which Epson printer and which canvas you are interested in, perhaps we can help. Epson seems to use labels like "epson12742.exe" for profiles, drivers, and for utility software. I suspect you got slightly the wrong number, but your printer name and canvas name would help us track it down.

I have an R1900 printer, I downloaded the Profile from the link provided for this printer. It would be for the Epson canvas sheet.

FWIW, it's always helpful if you can give the actual link and stuff, so we could what you actually downloaded, but no matter.

Here's a link to the profile you're looking for: http://www.teddillard.com/graphics/SPR1900...ltSmPhtoRPM.zip (http://www.teddillard.com/graphics/SPR1900CnvMt-UltSmPhtoRPM.zip)

It's in a .zip file, just download it and put it in the folder with your other profiles.  If you need help with that, this video shows how:

Thanks Ted! I opened your folder and found the profile. it was already installed on my driver folder for some reason; I got a warning but there it was. When I unzipped the one from the website I got this data.

I downloaded them from http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support...type=highlights (http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supAdvice.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&noteoid=98484&type=highlights)
wich is the Premium ICC Printer Profiles for the Epson Stylus Photo R1900

All the other profiles unzipped and installed automatically.

Well, I have them now thanks for your help.

weird...  Sounds like you'd already installed it and it thought you wanted to remove it maybe.

No prob, happy printing!
