Well, to put the shoe on the other foot, so to speak, this model was deemed 'too skinny' for a magazine cover, and photoshopped to make her look fatter, curvier and healthier. Still, it speaks to the same ideas of what beauty is 'supposed' to look like, and/or why they didn't simply choose someone who fit what they were looking for.
Skinny model is airbrushed to make her look FATTER on front cover of health magazine (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1278795/Holland--Barrett-airbrush-Kamilla-Wladyka-fatten-skinny-model.html)

Mike, The Daily Mail, aka 'The Daily Heil', 'Daily Fail', 'Daily Fascist', has less than a good reputation for accuracy in its reporting. In fact, it makes stuff up & simply lies to suit its editorial stance/enhance/create a story. I'm not saying that's the case with this one, but might be worth looking for another source!

I'll never forget this video:

I agree ChristophC, that was a great video. I have a sneaking desire to get hold of the software used, but I'm pretty sure it's a mockup!

I'm sure it's a photoshopped Photoshop ;)
