Most photos of tulips are in color but I thought that this one looked good in softer brown tones.

Agree with Eric. Need to see it larger. Not sure the top-most tulip understood the compositional needs, though.

Steve was obviously working with garden variety, untrained tulips that didn't grasp composition well. Excellent job, though. I think the tones work quite nicely, and are an unexpected touch for such colorful subject matter. If it was me, I'd probably delete the right hand tulip (content aware delete in CS5: yesssss!), and perhaps edit the top tulip, but it works quite well as it is, just picking nits. I think it would make a lovely large print.

I like it, even with the unruly tuplip on the left. The shape of the bouquet seems to cradle the light source. Well done!

Very nice image.
I feel supported in my personal thesis, that color in most cases disturbs more than it helps.
I also agree with the warm toning.
