Title: Viewing in portrait error
Post by: edorm on April 27, 2010, 10:58:59 am
I'm fairly new to Aperture 3 and have encountered a problem I haven't seen before. Last night I imported three sets of files from the same camera. The first set was fine but the next two displayed in portrait rather than landscape. I selected the photos and rotated to landscape, but have no idea why they all imported in portrait. I looked in the import settings and the preference file but didn't see anything obvious. Thanks for your help.

What camera and lens?  Raw or JPG or both?  Were they all shot in landscape orientation?  Did they show properly in the Import pane?

The camera is a Canon 7D and also fairly new to me. I don't have the camera with me to check but I think I may have inadvertently changed a setting which is causing the problem. The Import pane is showing the photos in portrait orientation. So I suppose that is a pretty big hint that the problem is in my camera settings, right?
