Here are a few from a charity event ... C&C welcome! We had mostly overcast weather throughout the day, but caught a break with the sun peeking out every now and then.

I have to ask: How fast did they have to pull the rope to get the plane to be airborne?
I'd love to hear the back story.

Hmmm... could they have flown it like a kite?! Maybe...but the pilot kept hitting the brakes after the plane moved a few feet.
The plane-tug was part of a fundraiser for the North Carolina Special Olympics (link (http://www.sonc.net/fundraisers/fund_raising_events_pp.asp)). The organizers were nice enough to let me on the tarmac to take a few shots. It just wasn't possible to capture the drama from behind the ropes. This is how it looked from the crowd:
