Again in my way to the bar with a compact cam in my pocket...

Very moving, Fred. My only suggestion is that perhaps you should have closed the victim's eyes before photographing.
This image raises all sorts of questions about what events led up to this massacre. The can of course suggests that alcohol may have been involved.

Closing the eyes of someone who's dead isn't that easy - unless you're going to staple, glue or tape them shut. The eyes certainly have that glassy look though. Also appears as if rigor mortis has set in. From the absence of blood I think we can conclude that vampires are responsible, or that it was werewolves (hence the dismemberment) & the bodies have been moved. Really quite chilling.

I'm a bit surprised no one has paid attention to the humongous beverage can. Comparing to the severed head the can looks to be a good 50cm in length, and if it's full of liquid it would weigh several kilos. I would assume this peculiar object is the cause of death, although there is no blunt trauma evident in the victims. As it's clearly non-standard can its source should be easy to track down by the keystone kops.
The bloating evident in the corpses is probably due to some rare medical condition House M.D. would be better suited to solve, though.

Unfortunately, he's been snatched up by Sky and I can't watch his tutorials on the free-to-air channels any more; I was becoming quite a good amateur doctor; coulda fixed that corpse with a Singer.

I suspect this is the work of two dogs. You know how they can be - not good enough that they each have a friend, they always want what the other dog has. Tragedy often ensues.

Looks to me as if Eric hit the nail on the head. Obviously alcohol was involved. Looks as if these two were drunk as skunks and simply beat the stuffing out of each other.

Touché, I did not thought about dogs! that would also explains why the other head is missing.
Actually it is also a good track, but the beer? The dog's master? For sure a man, a woman would have throw it in the trash can who was actually next to this place.
Nota: I did not touched any of these elements for composing the scenery or so, they were truly like that and the shade on top left is the one from a car parked.
Ps: criminology photography might be very exiting indeed.

Somewhere recently I saw the chilling image that Raghu Rai made in Bhopal after the chemical disaster in the 80's. Don't know if anyone remembers it, the childs torso just barely visible and mother's(?) hand lovingly clearing the face of any debris...eyes wide open and void of life and dreams...was certainly powerful...while this shot of Fred's can be taken lightly, in a quieter moment, the possible circumstances that led here leave me uneasy and wondering...two dogs, one doll , yes this result possible..but two dolls, the alcohol ...chilling indeed...and angry father? at whom, wife, child? (sigh)

Unfortunately senseless slayings are happening all over the world. I witnessed this brutal scene in historic Hill End. Why are people so cruel?
