I am looking to consolidate my photog work onto the same computer I use for work - where I run typical Office-y apps. I imagine I can handle a glossy screen, although they make no sense to me (except for watching movies I suppose), as long as I can run my external monitor with the laptop. So my question is what laptop will offer the graphics firepower to work well with my 24" Samsung monitor? (I'm a PC guy btw.)
I'll spare you my agonizing over alternatives except to say I want something fast with about a 14-16" screen that doesn't weigh a ton. I've looked at the Vaio F and like the Thinkpad w510 but it appears to be out of my price range ($2K with docking solution...). If you know of other laptops with matte screens, that would be useful as well.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
