Title: Jackie Crivello Wildlife Photos
Post by: brandtb on February 01, 2010, 07:33:55 am
A friend recently forwarded me a link (following) to magazine "Cowboys & Indians, The Premiere Magazine of the West - and a section containing a wildlife photo competition final selection.  His brother Stu had won the competition - but what a group of photographers he was going up against.  I work in the architectural photo field primarily and unfortunately don't get a chance to look at to much of this type of work...but I was really impressed by the work of one photographer in particular from that competition - named Jackie Crivello (link following).

After reading the all the recent comments about the fake shot of the Wildlife Photogrpaher of the Year winner was (one that I thought was unbelieveably bad as a photo)...it brought to mind the words of Jay Maisel...light, color, gesture.  It's not that you've shot a picture of a "wolf" - there must be something more...what is that "more"?

I find her work to be on the whole...quite inspiring...sure not every shot on the site is a keeper...but boy there are some GOOD ONES.
