Dagnab it all, I've got to get some new windows. I get frost on mine, but it never does anything as exciting as these images.
Nice work!

Nice work! I doesn't often get cold enough here to create frosty panes. I love frost patterns like this; they often remind me of alluvial fans.

Very nice images! We rarely have frost on windows where I live, I need to up in the mountain, your photos triggered my curiosity.
-
Thanks all. These patterns are a bit rare. It has to get very cold, below 10 Fahrenheit it seems.

That is some purdy stuff!
My only comment is that I’d like to see more

Fantastic work Dan!
First and 4th are my favs because of the cold colors.
They are unique, very abstract and beautiful to see.
I wonder how did you take them, any special technique?
-
Exceptionally nice! Fractals at play. A side by side series of these would look terrific on a wall somewhere.

I mostly used ambient light, I tried flash for a few, the difference was minor. I placed black and maroon mat board behind the frost for some of the shots to add color.

I like all of them. Great work!

They don't get much better. Excellent work. The last is a bit different in that in has some light as part of the subject. IMO, the highlights are very strong and somewhat competes with the shapes. Not sure what can be done, perhaps increase contreast to better delineate the white ice arteries.

Fabulous, Dan. Maybe even better than last year. Congrats on your perseverance and your long-johns.

Dan, thats very interesting. I would have guessed they were bigger. I noticed you like small details. I used to see windows like this in wisconsin when I was little but they were very large. They always baffled me and amazed me. Thanks for bringing back old memories. By the way this is the kind of images we all want to see and should impressed with. This what we all should be studying.
This is why I started postings images was to get people away from tech. There is no amount of tech and photoshop that can replace a good photographer who can see. The art of seeing, composing, choosing the right focal length, the right angle to shoot the image and the right background.
Lets keep the inspiration of good images coming everyone. Thanks Dan, Tim
