Title: Z3200-compatible paper that simulates linen texture?
Post by: jasdown on January 18, 2010, 04:29:22 pm
I was wondering if forum members could steer me to a paper (compatible with Z3200) that would emulate the "linen texture" that a potential client currently gets on prints ordered from WHCC? Apparently, the prints are of a satin finish, but with the linen texture applied as an option by WHCC. Thank you for any recommendations.

Thank you for all the suggestions, Rich & Ernst. The dilemma was that the client wanted a satin finish (not matte) coupled with a linen texture, which I suppose doesn't exist anywhere in an inkjet paper. It seems that WHCC has the ability to texturize their prints as a finishing process.

You are correct, it is applied as part of the finishing process if desired.

"Linen Texture" can be interpreted in a number of ways, so I suggest that whatever you do ask the companies you're interested in for samples.

The textured fine art paper and aquarella offered by HP are very nice. Have a warm base tone, which may or may not fit your needs. Good "hand", very appealing to customers.
