I enjoied your site very much, it gives an excellent insight in Indian culture (and some californian landscapes).

Goa was under Portuguese rule for almost 450 years beginning in 1510 and ending in 1961.  As a result, its ethos and culture, while retaining its Indian essence, have a flavour that is distinct from the rest of India.
