Title: Adjusting the white point on an iMac 21.5''
Post by: Guigui on January 08, 2010, 01:02:44 pm
Hi,

I'm trying to calibrate one of the new iMacs (21.5 inches) using an eye-one display 2 via the i1 match program.

I'm using the advanced mode and trying to get 6500K white point, 2.2 gamma and 120cd/m² luminance.

The luminance is no longer an issue on those new iMacs but how do you adjust the RGB controls in order to get the desired white point of 6500K ?

Thank you.

There are no RGB controls.  If you use the correct mode, the color is adjusted via the profile.  There is an option in i1 Match as to what controls your display has, don't use the one that uses the RGB controls.

On machines like the iMac, you'll need to use the "RGB Presets" option in the display calibration software. There are no separate RGB controls
