Hi Folks:
This is an idea that's intrigued me for some time, but I've yet to get around to it. Basically the rain water leaches the tannins out of the leaves, especially maple and oak leaves. I came across these yesterday on my way to the bookstore; I didn't have a real camera or a tripod with me so the IQ isn't great, but someday I'll take a more serious look at it.

I think it is a great idea and subject matter. I have seen photos like this on One Exposure.

Thanks folks. Life keeps getting in the way right now, but someday. Fortunately the whol leaf drop thing is an annual event!
