Interesting (non technical) article and images by craigmod: http://craigmod.com/journal/gf1-fieldtest/ (http://craigmod.com/journal/gf1-fieldtest/)

Excellent article; clear and well done. Hadn't been much interested in this type of camera until I read this. I love the line about taking the trip to use the camera - we all should be able to do that, right?

Great article, Francois. Thanks very much for the link.
I've been thinking about a GF1 or GH1 as a much smaller and lighter substitute for my larger DSLR under some conditions; I just haven't gotten around to playing with one in a store yet. One of these days... The article made it sound very promising.

I'm also thinking of adding a GF1 to my camera bag. I've been toying with a GH1 and found that I'm very satisfied with the image quality and the GF1 seems to offer the same IQ. I tried a Canon G10 and wasn't happy with it.

I bought a GF1 with 20mm f1.7 prime a few weeks ago and have been pleasantly surprised with the camera. A fantastic system which I'm enjoying using while shooting a 'photo a day' 365 project.
Its beauty is its small size and light weight, meaning it can be stored in your pocket with ease ready to be used to take a snap whenever you see a shot.

Andy,
Thanks for sharing your experience. You have some wonderful photos!

Just ordered a GF1 and the kit 14-45
What camera bag/pouch will fit this combo well?
keeping it small but room for an extra battery and memory card.
Thanks

The photo of the young child is wonderful. What a great expression.
