Timo, You're making me homesick for northern Michigan where I spent a fair part of my youth. I used to enjoy both weeks of Summer and the occasional days in the Fall when it wasn't sleeting or snowing.

Love the contrast between the blue birch trunk in the shadows and the warmly sunlit background & reflections. To my eye the immediate foreground is a bit messy and distracting, including the reflections at the lower right. I might prefer it with the bottom cropped to the base of the tree and grasses.

Of course, it may be just gorgeous as is, in a good-sized print; tough to tell how it really looks on my crappy office monitor.

I have mixed feelings about this image. On the one hand, the power of the golden light is striking and seductive; on the other, it looks a little busy to me. But no question, it is a striking scene that evokes memories of autumn, the kind you feel when you go for a walk in the woods.
