Title: Using Lightroom for Flash Websites
Post by: SteveZ on August 08, 2009, 01:55:04 pm
I wanted to create a Flash website for my photos. Question is which software to use. Since I already have Lightroom 2.3, I was thinking of purchasing the "SlideshowPro" for Lightroom (the free presets in the version 2.1 aren't so great). Has anyone used Lightroom for webs applications or can you recommend any other that is just as easy. I also have ProShow Gold, but not sure this would work for anything other than web slide shows.

I have LR and SSP and I'm very happy with it. If you want total control you'll need SSP for Flash but that's a whole different ballgame. SSP for LR is well worth the $25 for nice simple, smooth web slideshows that are quick to build. If you want to do a whole website you might need Slideshow Presenter - I don't have this so can't comment.

Here's a typical result:

If you use SlideShow Pro Director to manage the images in your galleries, you can export directly to SSP Director from Lightroom. You can target specific galleries and use keywords, titles, and captions from LR.
