A shot of wild area of park with Toronto in the background. An interesting juxtaposition.

Hey I like that!  It invokes the Yellow Brick Road leading to Oz, in addition to standing up nicely on its own right.  That would be a great selling image in old Toronto.  Don't know exactly why but I think I'd prefer it in color, maybe I'm stuck in the Technicolor YBR analogy.  Blue skies, green foliage, shining city, methinks it just wants to be in color.

I like it.  Would it help to bring down the whites of the flowers as well as that of the city?  Great composition.

Definitely an interesting juxtaposition, as you say. I like the composition a lot, I only wish the dirt road didn't appear to veer away from the city rather than towards it.

I'm not quite sure about the B/W conversion, though. I like the tonal variations that's you've preseved in the grass and trees. I think it's the sky that's throwing me off, as it seems to lack contrast. It doesn't seem right that the foreground flowers are brighter in tone than the clouds.

Thank you everyone for the comments. I would indeed have preferred the path turn toward the city. I did quick conversion from IR setting in Elements; nothing special, just liked the result.

Jphn, I wouldn't worry too much about the direction of the path. It's easy to see the path ducking an obstacle but turning back toward the emerald city. It's a very good juxtaposition of two elements and the flowers along the path are the frosting on the cake. Good work!

I don't think the direction of the path is worrisome, especially because it doesn't reach the edge on the right.  What it does very well though is lead eyes into the image.  Nicely composed.

Thank you for your comments Russ, Jason and Justan. I wasn't so much concerned about the the direction of the road, just thought it would be nice to have one going in that direction also.
