Title: Snow Leopard default gamma has been changed from 1.8 to 2.2

I just found this on Apple's website:

under a section called "System Wide"

"Gamma 2.2.
The default gamma has been changed from 1.8 to 2.2 to better serve the color needs of digital content producers and consumers."

I have been following the development of Snow Leopard for some time but this is the first I've heard of this. I'm wondering if there are any implications as far as a colour managed work-flow from monitor cal through LR2 and PScs4. Should it be transparent to the end user?

Among print path fixes, it means no longer non parity with other OS's that assume 2.2 for display TRC gamma. ICC aware applications will, as they have been under the 1.8 assumption unaffected.
