Title: Lake Powell Summer
Post by: Henry W on October 11, 2003, 07:01:45 am
Hi Eric,

We just returned from our 12th trip there.  We've only been to Bullfrog once so I can't help much with that part of the lake. Also Hite is nothing but a sand bar now with the lake being as low as it is, down 98 feet. If you go down lake, our favorites are: (in order, going down lake) Davis gulch, Clear creek, Reflections, Anasazi, Oak Bay, Secret, Cascade, Padre Bay and of course Forbidden (Rainbow Bridge). Many of these are too narrow for a houseboat. I've posted some pics at  WWW.QASW.COM (http://www.qasw.com). Hope that helps.

Henry

Going to be houseboating there for 7 days, well 6.25 days really thanks to Aramark's rip off policy.

Any advice on which side canyons to visit? 6.25 days is probably not enough to go from Wahweap to Hite. Where should I turn around? Bullfrog?
