I wonder how they'll call it - Monaco Maker? Profile Profiler?
I also have high hopes for that "affordability" - I tested MP and liked its percepual rendering a lot.

Looks to me like they've just renamed/repackaged PM5. This software is really due for a complete update and this certainly isn't it!

There are some new features, but it looks similar to the way they've reduced the range of i1 options.
I've written reviews/articles about most of the i1 bits and pieces over the last few years, but not for PM5. Partly because nothing had changed for a while, and partly because with a big package like that, where do you start?
The only 'new' bit I've covered so far was the OBC module for the iSis (http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/reviews/profiling/isis_obc.html)

There are some new features, but it looks similar to the way they've reduced the range of i1 options.
Not much is new. ProfileMaker itself is still the 5.0.8 engine dating from 2006, while MonacoProfiler is stuck at V4.8.3 from 2005. There are added "features" to the bundles, most of which you have been able to download for years or that already came with PMP. The bundles themselves are a bit different than before, however it is a matter of which parts are included in each package. Depending on your needs, the new bundles might save some duplication in purchasing.
MeasureTool now comes with the FOGRA wedge (http://www.fogra.org/mediawedge/index-en.html) reference files preinstalled and there are also reference files for the IDEAlliance ISO 12647-7 2009 Color Control Wedge (http://www.idealliance.org/industry_resources/branding_media_and_color/gracol/idealliance_iso_126477_2009_color_control_wedge). MeasureTool can use the 12647-7 data for proof validation. Potentially useful but hardly earthshattering.

Not much is new.
No kidding! And for Mac users, both packages including companion apps like ColorPort are all PowerPC applications with questionable compatibility and performance. XRite makes SpectralVision (a component of ColorBurst) which is a version of ColorPort with limited Monaco Profiler compatibility and it is Universal binary app. Hopefully they will come though and give us software with modern code soon!

Let's hope Apple and Microsoft's compatibility boxes work well, because I am starting to wonder whether Xrite has the ability to recompile this software.

We're still using MeasureTool and sometimes PMP for data collection. They are all running in 32-bit VMware virtual machines as neither program talks to instruments on 64-bit systems.
