Title: Catbird in Tree

The last catbird photos I posted were not good quality, but they were the first I'd ever seen live, so I was anxious to squeeze every last drop of detail I could from them. These are much better. Panasonic ZS3, daylight auto-exposure, ISO 80. Cropped to 50 percent width, then reduced.

Good shot, Dale. Especially the first one because of the way the bird's head is turned to the side.

Thanks - I used programmed settings for both shots, and the result was near-perfect for the first one, but the second was significantly darker and required adjustment. The EV settings didn't change, and the light from the sky didn't change, so it's a mystery to me why it turned out that way. When you're already working with a tiny sensor, those adjustments can hurt you.  I'm receiving pieces of my Pana G1 order now - hopefully that camera will produce more consistent results.
