Title: Bryce Canyon Lodging
Post by: samirkharusi on November 26, 2003, 06:21:52 am
Nice and comfortable. Reasonably priced. Ample meals. Close to the Park entrance. I went mid-winter and it's coooldd. Strangely, I could not locate anybody selling long johns anywhere nearby. Yes, it was that cold. I had not meant to do any photography other than strictly snapshots. Big mistake. Should have taken my serious photo equipment. Make sure you do and have fun. Here are my snaps:

Ruby's is nice, but a bit pricey.

We stayed at the Best Western at Panguitch on Utah 89. It is a 20 miles drive to the park entrance and very scenic, especially for sunsets, i.e. after you have done your sunrise shots and doing the Navajo Trail at Brice. Cost is half than Ruby's. In addition you have nearby the famous Steakhouse "Smokehouse Cafe"  where Harley bikers use to hang out (in summer).
Have fun, Jurgen

I'm hoping to make a trip to Bryce Canyon (and some other locations as well) in February.  Due to the weather I'm not anxious to tow my trailer out there, so I'll just motel it.  Any suggestions for lodging close to Bryce?  I see Ruby's Inn on the map and it looks pretty good on their website.  Anyone stay there?

definately recommend.  very comfortable and short distance to the entrance.  took me less than 10 minutes to be out there for sunrise.

Care to camp? There is a small section of the North campground always open. Heated bathroom!
