Title: Winter landscape from the archipelago
Post by: pyl on January 30, 2009, 08:43:09 am
This is my first post here and why not start off with a picture? This was taken a couple of weeks ago on the island of Öja in the southern archipelago, about 60 kms south of Stockholm, Sweden. C&C welcome of course!

I like the composition- the curve of the rocky shore creates a sense of peace.  I think that the sky is a bit flat and bright, and it competes for attention.  Perhaps darkening it a bit with some dodge/burn would bring out some of the detail in the highlights and also distinguish it from the ocean?
