Title: Smokey Mountain Ferns
Post by: DanVH on January 28, 2009, 09:19:07 pm
I like the small stuff, these little guys caught my attention last spring during a family camping trip to Abrams Creek campground. Which IMHO is one of the best in drive in campgrounds in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.

Hi Dan,

I like the way how you've caught the light in the hairs around the ferns that are in focus. Also the sharpness is spot on where you'd want it.

However I find the background too distracting. You might have tried a larger aperture or a different viewpoint (or both) to make the sharp ferns stand out more.
Now the dark/light splotches in the background compete for the lighted outline.
