A little exercise on focus blending.

Hi kal,

I'm a new poster here and have received some valuable comments on a picture of mine so I'll try to give something back to the forum, allthough pls. realize I'm not an expert critic.

First I think you met your objective of focus blending, if you hadn't mentioned it I would not have noticed and that's a good thing.
It's also an impressive view leading you from the rocks in front to the city in the back.

Two items where you might consider to improve the image:
1) a little more pop/contrast and also I would judge this shot to be slightly overexposed (but easily corrected in PP)
2) composition, maybe point down and get a bit less sky at the top and some more rock at the bottom, there's an impressive rock cut off there that I think might have contributed more than the top part of the sky.

Thank you for the time you spent on my picture and for your critique.

I will try and work some more on the image, taking into account your suggestions -- not now, since I'm writing this on a laptop with an especially bad display. As for the composition, I cannot correct it, since there is nothing more at the bottom on the original image, but the place is 30 minutes drive + 45 minutes walk from home, so I hope to return there as soon as time (and weather...) permit.
