Title: Monitor profiler for Vista 64 bit?
Post by: Bill Lawrence on January 18, 2009, 09:43:22 pm
Hi All,

I've recently upgraded to a Vista 64-bit machine and PSCS4 64bit.  I had been using a Pantone/Gretag Eye one display 2 software/i1 colorimeter combination for my XP machine, but it looks like there is no software or hardware support for upgrading to 64-bit Vista that I can find on the Pantone site.  Any recommendations for a good photographic hardware/software monitor calibration package for Vista 64-bit?  The monitor is the big thing - if I can expand later to printer and scanner profiling, that would be great, but having spent the money on the computer, PSCS4, and new storage, my main focus is on getting the monitor profiled.

Thanks!
Bill

Hi Bill,

Xrite's site assures us that the newest version of Match supports Vista 64 bit.  I haven't tried it myself.

Try www.integrated-color.com, ColerEyes Display 1.5Pro. This supports Windows Vista 64-bit.

Eye One Match 3.6.2 (downloaded from the xrite website) works fine for me with my Eye One Display 2 puck on Vista 64bit.

Thanks for all the replies!  Eye one match 3.6.2 did it!  My problem was when I was originally researching the color management, the manufacturer was Gretag/Macbeth, and when I bought, the manufacturer was Pantone.  I went to the Pantone site, and all they could tell me there was that it was discontinued and that I could spend another $500 to upgrade to Color Munki.  I hadn't realized that X-rite was now the supporting company - I just profiled the monitor and can confirm that it works on Vista 64bit.

Thanks again!
Bill
