How would I delete a topic/post, my own, (If possible?)
thanks for your help. I'm new to the forum and still learning.

I'm not a moderator, but here is how to do it. At the bottom of most posts you will see two buttons, "Quote" and "Reply" over to the right. At the bottom of your own posts there should be two additional buttons, labeled "Delete" and "Edit". Just click the "delete" button and click on the verification and your post will go away. Your browser needs to be set to run scripts for this to work.

This is a relatively new feature. I hope this helps.

I think you still cannot delete a whole thread, even if you were the one who started it.

I do that as well: embarrassing, isn't it?

If you click on your own name at the top left of the screen, then on "Posts", you can see your own posts. It's very helpful for those of us with failing memories.

And thank you for that tip, Jeremy. I hadn't known about that.

(Now how will I remember where to find this tip when I need it. I know: I'll print a copy of it and add it to the humongous pile of miscellaneous papers on my desk, so that when I need it again, I'll simply have to spend about 72 hours sifting through the papers to find the one i need.      )
