Whatever these gorillas are thinking, it sure would be interesting to know. It might even be "Be sure to capture my good side."
Taken with Pana TZ5 (because of zoom requirement) - the only attributes I really tried to capture in these photos are an interesting look, and some sense of dignity for an animal that deserves it.

Either you interrupted him in a private moment of relief or he's considering whether or not you'd make a good lunch!
20 years ago at the same zoo I photographed a series of a gorilla picking his nose and eating it (obviously learned from some zoo visitor...). I just made a quick attempt to find the prints; I probably have the negs buried in a box too.

Your gorilla must have been watching the Bill Murray movie about the golf tournament.
