Howdy all. I thought I'd share some hummingbird shots from last year. I put a lot of effort into capturing these photos, I even went to Costa Rica in March. When I returned home to NH I was able to snag a pair of ruby throated hummingbirds to my feeders and I was able to photograph them just outside my home for a few months.

Yes I used flashes for all of the photos. For the first three shots I used two soft boxes and some fill flashes. The last two photos I used 6 Canon 430 flashes, some with diffusers.

1dsmk3, 300mm f/2.8 with extension tubes, Canon 430 flashes.
