Title: sensor cleaning supplies for airplane travel?

According to Visible Dust, you can use a bulb blower to charge the sensor brush (http://www.visibledust.com/instructions.html#sensorbrush), although they do recommend canned air.

I have no practical experience with this, I don't own the product.

It's good to hear that I can use a bulb blower with the sensor brush rather than canned air.  I'll go that route.

I have had mixed results on the CO2 cartridges. I kept them in my check-in luggage. sometimes they are there when I open the bag, sometimes not. So I would not count on them. I carry a Giotto Rocket as backup.

I'm looking for a compact, airline-safe way to clean my digital camera's sensor when traveling.  I am considering a Visible Dust sensor brush, but it needs canned air to work properly; bringing a whole can of canned air along isn't light or compact, and might it upset airline security people???  Many cleaning fluids are flammable, too, which might also be a problem for carrying on airlines.  Currently, I only have a bulb blower, which has done OK so far, but I'm afraid that someday I will be traveling somewhere and need more serious cleaning than a bulb blower can provide.  What are the rest of you doing?

If you're taking carry on only, the canned air will be a problem -  when I travel I use CO2 from American Recorder to charge the brush, but I've had to give up the co2 cartridge from my carry on, but never any trouble if it's in the baggage that's checked.

A bulb blower works just fine. BTW, I just got my Visible Dust brush yesterday, and I'm very impressed - it got about 95% of the dust on a quite dirty 1Ds on the first pass!
