Title: Hasselblad H1 & Kodak DCS 645H combo review
Post by: AWeil on August 05, 2003, 08:09:11 pm
One more, for Leica owners: Do not toss out your Leica R8 or R9 and those fine lenses in order to move to digital photography. Leica will offer a 10 megapixel digitalback for the R-series. Will be available next year and will have the usual high price (presently something around 4500 Euro). It's official, was printed in a German photo magazine. Info: www.leica-camera.de
I don't own a Leica, but have a slight feeling of envy.

Title: Hasselblad H1 & Kodak DCS 645H combo review

As we wait in feverish anticipation for Michael's medium format back review - a good idea, in my view - here is something to whet the appetite.

Digital Photographer issue 9, a decent pro/enthusiast publication in the UK, has this combination on test, with sample images on the included CD Rom.

The ' blad gets 92% - a rave review really - and the Kodak 645H gets 84%, described as a worthy competitor to medium format film, and in most repects faultless.  So, pretty enthusiastic.  Mind you, a magazine called Digital Photographer is unlikely to rubbish the latest digital technology.

The price of the combo is of course stratospheric.
