Title: 2.2 Running VERY S-L-O-W
Post by: jackperk on December 20, 2008, 05:59:20 pm
Anyone else suffering the molasses slows I am with 2.2 on my G5 with 2.5 gig memory. I'm seeing a lot more of the spinning ball than I am my images.

Love to hear any feedback on this and what you did/I can do. 2.1 was never this balky.

LR has never been peppy on my G5 Dual2.0 with 10GB of ram. LR 2.2 doesn't appear to be any better or worse.
I agree. On my dual G5, there's no evident difference in speed going from 2.1 to 2.2 except for the local adjustment brush. It seems much snappier in 2.2 and the beachball cursor is not as frequent (vs 2.1).

What OSX versions are you using in general, 10.4.11 or one of the 10.5.x versions?

I'm using 10.5.6 on both G5 and Intel powered Macs.
