As a lowly Windows user, I thank you.

I am reminded of the fact that in many classical musical circles, "The Fifth" (with no further identification) always refers to Beethoven's fifth symphony. But in some more specialized circles, "The Fifth" is Mahler's fifth symphony.

Not to mention Besson's "The 5th element" in circles with yet an even higher level of education...

Cheers,
Bernard

That's got to be another one that's known only to Mac and Nikon users.

Cheers,

So this update is supposed to improve the speed of the usb port on Intel Mac's? I did a little non scientific test transferring from a hard drive and it does seem a lot faster after the upgrade.
My camera connects with firewire anyway but I may want to tether with a Canon sometime through the usb port. It seems like this may help

Make sure you are running the latest EOS Utility. I had major tether dramas today, the latest eos utility seems to fix it.
