Title: Digital Rebel XT
Post by: Jack Flesher on March 20, 2005, 02:32:05 pm
I tried one breifly, but shutter-lag happened to be one of the issues I was paying particular attention to since it is a huge issue with me...  I am happy to say that it is quite decent -- decent enough I will probably pick one (or two) of these little gems up for myself

I'm pretty new to digital photography and currently use an Olympus C3000 Zoom.  Its a pretty basic camera but ok for general use.

One of the problems, however, is the lag between pushing the button and the camera taking the picture - on the Olympus it is just too long and I keep missing the shot.

I am now considering a Digital Rebel XT and wondered if anyone could tell me if the "picture lag" is acceptable.  I need something that compares favourably with a standard SLR.

Anyone used a Digital Rebel XT who could give me an insight?

Alistair

And I concur with Jack. I think the XT is rated at 0.1 or 0.2 seconds. Not noticeable.
