Title: Canon 1DS Availability
Post by: Jonathan Wienke on March 16, 2004, 01:25:01 am
The 1Ds is almost always a "special order only" item. Very few establishments keep stacks of them lying around in stock; they're simply too expensive. They also still sell as fast as Canon can make them, even at $8000; they're that good. I waited over a month for mine. It sucks, but it's worth the wait.

Try either Samy's in LA California or
www.newtonvillecamera.com

If you go to newtonville camera ask for Mike

I'm almost got my "financial advisor" (wife) talked into letting me spring for a 1DS. But from what I can tell no reputable place seems to have one available. Either Canon stopped making them for a while to builld up 1DII availability, or...?
