Was this taken with an IR filter?

I like the processing.  This is the elephant from Valley of Fire, Nevada, right?

Hi, no it was taken in color and post processed in Photoshop CS2. I thought it looked better in Black and White.

Thanks,

Andres

Nice rock!

I like the treatment you've given this image, but every time I look at it my eye starts on the brighter left side and then sort of tumbles through the image and out the right side of the frame.  Sort of a domino effect, I guess...

Mike.

Thanks Mike, would a tighter crop help the domino effect caused  by the light coming from the left?

Ohh... nice rock. Did you say that was taken here on earth?

Re: Wolfnowl's comment about the domino effect... I wonder if that is a bad thing? Your eye gets drawn across the photograph, then... what? I go back for more.

Gorgeous capture, love the texture of the rocks. The whole thing has the feeling of being lit by the full moon...

Took another look at it, and I withdraw my earlier comment.  I wouldn't change a thing.

Mike.

Thanks, I just came back from Vegas again, was there for the fight. I did not have time to go back to this local. Unusual and beautiful place.
