Title: One hitch using Histograms
Post by: pmkierst on February 26, 2003, 01:51:31 pm
One thing Micheal doesn't seem to mention (perhaps it is not a problem on the 1Ds) is the saturation of a single color.

In quite a few shots I have done with the D30, the histogram looks OK, if a bit tight towards the left. However, examination in PS shows that, in fact, one color is saturated (i.e. 255), often blue in the sky. The picture looks OK until you try to adjust contrast/brightness/curves/etc....then the saturation causes a pretty obvious color shift.

This is my experience and I thought it should be mentioned...
