Title: Leaf Aptus battery
Post by: Gilles L on October 30, 2008, 08:15:37 pm
Can 3rd party batteries be used for the Leaf Aptus 22? If so, does anyone have any recommendation of brands to get or avoid?

Many thanks,

Gilles

I purchased SB-L320 batteries from MaximalPower. They're about $25 and run the back for an hour or so. I've never tested the actual length as I shoot more tethered than off the batteries. Anyhow, it's two years old and seems to give me about a 30 - 45 minutes at present. The SB-L160 batteries are about $15, but not enough cheaper to warrant buying them in my opinion.

I use Haenel 4000mAh batteries .... 2 of them will do me for a day on site.  They've been doing well for 2 years I think.

he he was searching for a good source to get batteries for the Aptus and this came up.  One of the Hahnels finally gave up the ghost.  That's at least 4 years solid use though.. not to mention the Aptus 75 ... 6 years and still going strong!
