Title: LR 2.0 tutorial question
Post by: duraace on October 23, 2008, 07:09:16 pm
In the Print segment of the LR2.0 tutorial with Jeff, Michael printed a LR managed color image to  Ilford GFP paper setting the driver output resolution to 1440 instead of 2880.  I would have thought 2880 would be used for color.  He didn't talk about why you would chose a lower resolution in the video.  Could anyone describe the rational behind choosing an output resolution in the Epson driver.  I too have an Epson 3800.  Thanks in advance.

Got an email reply from Michael as follows:

There's no point in using 2880. It's no sharper and simply slows down printing. It's there for marketing brag rights.

Try two prints and see this for yourself.
