It works like charm - fast, resposvie, and nice looking. New ACR functions and improved retouching tools allow me to work faster and effectively. I really like it.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had CS3 extended and bought a upgrade to CS4. The extended version was no longer in mine need and to expensive so I paid 199 euro for the CS4.
I have tried for hours and hours in combination with the Adobe support and Technical help to activate CS4 without any succes. I can no longer use CS4 anymore after the help from the Adobe support.

THe solution from Adobe is that I  ask for a refund and  that I buy the CS4 extended version. Upgrade is 475 euro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or that I send in a request for the refund and that I wait until CS4 can be deliver on a CDrom. That can be a lot of weeks after now.
Very nice policy from Adobe.

Thanks.

I have Adobe CS3 Extended as a standalone program.
What happens when I install the new CS4 Suite? Will I lose my special features? Adobe should install all CS4's new features while leaving CS3 "Extended" features alone.

Does anybody know when Adobe is releasing Indesign CS4? CS3 is all that comes with the CS4 Suite.

I ordered upgrades to PS and InDesign CS4 directly from Adobe a few weeks ago. My credit card was charged 2 days ago for the whole order, so I expect that my order shipped complete. I can't wait to play with the new features.

Michael:

That is exactly what happens. CS4 is a complete new program and will not do anything to CS3. Also, Photoshop CS4 is the version of Photoshop that is included in any of the CS4 suites that have Photoshop - you have some bad info as CS3 is not included in CS4 suites - it is a different program.

So understanding your below, installing the new CS4 suite over my PS CS3 will not affect it--so I will basically have two versions of Photoshop?

Yes, that is correct.
